Syria to England

Eesa Sandan, from Syria aged 11 underwent a ten hour surgery on both his legs at the Priory Hospital in Birmingham. Surgeons grafted skin from the rest of his body, fixed shattered bones and put together severed nerves. Here his physiotherapist visits his room on the ward where he is staying, to check on his recovery post-surgery over the watchful eye and consent of his mother this story is being shown.

With these images I wanted to show the pain and emotion in their raw moments.
